Journal Jar - Book of Us

Description: I was inspired to make this when my stamps arrived. I was trying to think of something to make for my sister for her birthday next month,when this hit me. Journal jar filled with book of us prompts. I will put this in a gift bag with an album and some papers. Bazzil paper scenic route - polka dot chipboard "J" Rebecca Baer - rubber stamp calla lily Rebecca Baer - stencil Diamond plaid masquerade ink paper flowers ball chain ribbon one empty grits canister. I first measured my canister. Made sleeve out of the bazill paper. Before attaching the paper sleeve I used the stencil and chalked the design onto the paper. felt the plaid added a bit of a masculine touch as it is a for a book of us. I then added the polka dot strip as a "belt" across the middle. I then stamped Two shall become one (calla lily stamp set) onto a coordinating piece of bazill. I added this to the front with some paper flowers. I then painted the chipboard letter - My sisters new initial. Stamped it with the corner stamp fromt the calla lily set. Hand wrote Book of us. Punched a hole thru the letter added a ball chain and attached this to the ribbon loop that I made in the top of the canister. I also used one of the decorative stamps from the set to embellish the journal prompts that are in the canister.

Description: Bazill paper Rebecca Baer: stencil: diamond plaid stamp set: calla lilies I altered a grits canister. I covered it with Bazzil paper that I stenciled the Rebecca Baer diamond plaid. I stenciled with chalk. This was used to give a bit of a masculine feel to the jar. I then added a band of Scenic Route Chestnut Plaid, used the backside the polka dots. Then took a lighter colored Bazill which I stamped in Black ink the Rebecca Baer stamp - Two shall become one. Embellished with 2 blue floweres. I then painted a chipboard "J" and stamped that with Rebecca Baer Calla Lilies. Hand wrote Book of Us attached to the canister with a chain, which I ran thru a ribbon that is used to open the jar. I printed out some book of me journal prompt ideas and then stamped that with Calla Lilie stamps. I made this for my sister for christmas! I initally thought I would use the stamps for my wedding album, but then thought of this idea and just couldn't stop myself. I think she is going to love this. I will put a bag together with a 8x8 album and this altered canister.
